If she had a positive blood test for HSV1, her infection probably is oral. It could be genital, however. There is very low risk of you catching HSV1 even if your mouth or penis is in contact with her infected site, either oral or genital. HSV1 is infrequently transmitted in absence of a visible, symptomatic outbreak (unlike HSV2). Any and all contact is probably safe when she has no symptoms.
