Are hsv1 & 2 igg conclusive after 7 wks of poss exposure? i tested negative at 7 wks. showed some early nerve pain symptoms, chapped lips... no sores no rashes etc. i've been told they are conclusive but then read may not be. please help clearify?

Inconclusive: The sensitivity of serologic testing for detection of HSV-2 (IgG antibody) vary from 90- to 100%, which means this test may result in false negative in up to 10% of infected patients. I would repeat the test.
