It is very likely that your oral surgeon has done this many times, probably many times a week. The oral surgeon and her/his assistants should be able to address contingencies. Wish you good health!

Anesthesiology is a major part of an Oral Surgeon's 5 year Residency. Yes, your Oral Surgeon is well trained and decidedly capable of managing any untoward situation.

No worries, oral surgeons and their staff are well trained and experienced in sedation. It's an integral part of their education.
