A member asked:

I've been told by dr that a mild stomach ulcer won't increase the risk of stomach cancer above the baseline risk of the general population. does he mean i have very few chances of getting stomach cancer from ulcer?

If the ulcer has been treated, you are at no more risk of cancer than you were before you got the ulcer. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.
