My best friend was diagnosed with stage 1 stomach cancer. the dr. said it formed from stomach ulcers she had about 6 months before. is this possible?

It's kind of vague!: That explanation leaves a lot to be desired. An ulceration can just be a description, and is not etiologically specific.
