If the damage is superficial to solely the nerve coverings (myelin), should resolve by 4 weeks. If the central portion of the nerve is damaged (axon), regrowth could be as slow as 0.1mm per day. An EMG test will help objectify.

Many partial injuries to nerves can heal. Some heal to only partial recovery. Nerve studies can help assess amount of damage. Nerves can be very slow to heal, up to a year.
