A member asked:

2 years ago i had stomach ulcer caused by the h pylori bacteria, i was only given antibiotics and it resolved within days, i had no trouble since then. will that infection from h pylori bacteria increase my risk of having stomach cancer in future?

What you described would not raise your risk of stomach cancer above your baseline risk. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.
