Unknown : it is difficult to predict. You could have multiple new ulcers, which could start the minute you go off of the stomach medication, or you may have no other ulcers the rest of your life. If you have documented H pylori, however, it is important to completely eradicate it so that they are less likely to recur and to decrease the risk of stomach cancer. You should avoid NSAIDs.
