Varicose veins: Veins have valves inside to prevent reverse blood flow. When these valves get damaged, varicose veins or dilated veins develops. Als there are superficial veins and deep veins. Deep veins do the majority of blood returning to heart. Superficial veins and deep veins are connected by perforator veins at all levels , damage of which can also cause varicose veins. See a doc.
