I had appendicitis surgery a week ago and now im having sharp pain on my right side under my ribs. and its worse when im walking and im not sure if i need to go see a doctor or wait for my check up?

You should call the doctor who did your surgery to discuss this pain, especially if it is worsening. It may be due to the abdominal muscles healing but it is best to discuss this with your doctor. Hope you feel better soon! Good luck to you!

As Dr.F recommends notify your surgeon of your symptoms. I'm sure he/she will want to examine you. Postop complications include an abscess,bleeding,leakage at operative site,other organ damage. Presence of fever,chills,sweats are signs of infection. It's too early for adhesions to form.
