Need surgery to fix broken, dislocated rib. would like to know if i have to stay in hospital and if so for how long don't see doctor until tuesday?

Unusual: Unless a rib has punctured a lung, surgery is rarely indicated. If the lung is not injured, I have a difficult time understanding the need for surgery. If your leg was punctured a day - overbite , i the hospital should be adequate w/o complications.
