A member asked:

What would be the best type of antibiotics to take if you gynecological infection and at the same time trying to getting over gastritis?

These choices depend on the type of germ expected or the result of cultures that verify what would work best. A mention of gyn issues and concurrent stomach issues is too vague to recommend anything. Your doc who has the specifics can make that decision.

Broad spectrum antibiotics with coverage for Gram- and anaerobes may be needed. When it comes to gi side effects, antibiotics may be detrimental to the small and large bowel more than upper gi. In severe cases iv administration is preferred.
