I had a uti which seemed to become a bladder / kidney infection according to a urine test and blood test. can this cause one to get gastritis?

No: Infection in the bladder and or kidney per se does not cause gastritis. However the medication you may take for the infection may result in inflammation and or infection in the gasto-intestinal tract.
