I've see. high vs low risk hpv. what's the difference between them? if i understand correctly high risk is the cancer causing type i've read. just need clarification and thanks?

Yes, there are many genotypes of HPV viruses. Some only cause warts (skin and genital) but some can cause different types of cancer, i.e. carcinogenic HPV genotypes, such as cervical cancer, penile cancer, anal or nasopharygeal cancer, etc. Please remember that most HPV infections, including those with carcinogenic HPV genotypes, typically resolve within 12 months.

There are at least 7 strains of HPV associated with cervical and other cancers (high risk). There are other strains associated with genital or other types of warts (low risk). There are dozens of known HPV strains not associated with cancer so you consider them all low risk. The genital wart strains are trouble but do not trigger cancer.
