Two nights ago i scratched my eye by accident (used a double-sided dental pick, got startled by something, poked my eye via that) i've kept it closed on/off since, using systane to help with irritation/pain, but it still hurts. any advice or tips?

You likely have a corneal abrasion or worse, a laceration. Go get this checked out by an ophthalmologist. You don't want to mess around with your eyesight!

2 recommendations. 1st, Very important, see an Ophthalmologist (eye doctor) immediately. You may have done damage to the surface of your eye. The Ophthalmologist will have effective treatments available to help heal. 2nd, see Dentist every 6 months/floss/brush. Do not ever again use sharp implements anywhere near your eyes. Sharp implements, improperly directed can also cause permanent gum damage
