36yr sliced hand on cheese grater. cleaned and put bandage on. urgent care said looked ok. haven't had td shot since 18. would it actually prevent tetanus infection after already cut? or can i just get a booster when at next well visit?

If grater is not cleaned and sterilized properly you could be at risk. It has been 18 years since last TETNUS shot so a new shot is well worth it.
