A member asked:

Reocurring pinworm infection. i clean i dont bite my nails i wash my hands all the time. i seem to reinfect myself. now i noticed dead pinworms in and around my vagina. how did they get there: from the uterus or anus? how do i prevent reinfection?

Documented how: There are many issues that trigger recurrent anal itching & many that can have the appearance of pinworms. They are common in toddlers but rarely seen in adults. They can only survive/grow in the large intestine where they hatch. I would seek confirmation of the source of your symptoms through office based testing. Good treatments for the wrong problem seldom work.
