Esophageal reflux can cause bronchospasm by either stimulating the vagus nerve or by aspirating small amounts of the stomach acid. Shortness of breath can be serious so you should see a doctor ASAP for evaluation/treatment. You may need an inhaler to treat if bronchospasm is identified. So, see a doctor today! Best of luck to you!
