I was treated for a uti 9/2, finished meds 7 days later, it returned. i dont think its totally gone. i felt symptoms 8/18. let it go, i think letting it go created problems by making it harder to treat. i was given macrobid both times. do i go back?

Yes, return to your doctor. If not yet done, you need a urine culture and sensitivity -- i.e. to identify the exact bacteria responsible and which antibiotic(s) will be most effective against it. Macrobid is often used, but isn't always effective; it's usually just a guess as to the best antibiotic. Keep working with your doctor on this. Good luck.
