UTI treatment: No antibiotic works for all UTIs and picking treatment usually involves a certain amount of guesswork. Macrobid usually works well, but not always, and your infection might have not been completely cured. Check back with the doctor who treated you. You may need a urine culture to identify the exact bacteria causing it and the antibiotics that will be most effective. Good luck!
