Currently on treatment for reoccurring yeast infection in vagina. given 3 doses of fluconazole, each to be taken 72 hours apart. im also taking probiotics twice, daily. can probiotics and fluconazole be taken together at the same time?

Research has indicated that oral probiotics in conjunction with fluconazole may help in the treatment of yeast vaginitis. It should be safe to take probiotics with fluconazole. However, if at anytime during treatment you experience side effects you should contact the prescribing physician immediately or go to an Urgent Care Center. I wish you well with your health!
