I have been on antibiotics and ear drops for an ear infection and canal was inflamed as well. my ear still hurts not as bad as before but still hurts should i go back to the dr? i have more day of antibiotics left?

If you had an ear drum infection I would recommend oral antibiotics for 7-10 days. If your pain is from the ear drum infection & you feel no significant improvement I recommend having another look at the ear drum. Inflammation/infection of the ear canal usually responds to ear drop, treatment consisting of a combination of antibiotic &corticosteroid. The question is what is causing the ear pain.

The safest choice would be to return to the treating doctor to enable another look. Sometimes the infection is caused by an organism which is not sensitive to the antibiotics used.
