This is not an issue for the ER. Your maxillary wisdom tooth may be erupting in such a way as to impinge on the ramus of your mandible. Please see an oral surgeon.

Jaw deviation on opening and/or closing usually signifies displaced TMJ disc. Thais can be corroborated by MRI. Seek evaluation by a Dentist with advanced training in Oral Pathology or Dento-facial Pain Management. Your local Dental Society may have list.
