A member asked:

I actually asked this when i joined healthtap a few years ago and i still have ringing ear issues up to now. just a follow-up question, is it true that it would cause hearing loss in the long run?

Tinnitus or ringing in the ear may become refractory and becomes challenging when no clear cause could be determined. In time hearing loss may develop (not always) if the inner ear or the auditory nerve is involved. Remaining established with an ENT physician specializing in ear issues/ tinnitus is strongly recommended.
