I need a doctor's note good for a week cause i hurt my left wrist and wanted to take a week rest off from work?

Doctor notes are issued on well documented physical exams with/ without other tests as needed that result in a diagnosis. Based on a working diagnosis, such notes can be used for work related concerns/excuses. Your best reference remains your doc, who can further clarify how work excuses work in general.
