Normal menstrual periods last anywhere from 4-7 days. this is because of a dip in your natural hormones. As your natural hormones go back up, the bleeding will stop. Heavier than normal bleeding or longer than normal bleeding may signal some kind of hormonal imbalance. This can be caused by stress, weight loss/gain, exercise, lack of sleep and anxiety.
