I took PPIs for chronic gastritis for a very long time and stopped about 4 months ago as symptoms were not there any more. Lately, I noticed that I burp a lot all day long. Could this be linked to chronic gastritis that I had?
Is it possible that even though I am on pantoprazole at 40MG per day, that eating very spicy foods could cause flare ups with my gastritis? Ive been told that PPIs dont protect you 100% from spicy foods or alcohol for example.
Why most of the doctors prefer to use ppis to "treat"(hide the symptoms) gerd, gastritis and ulcers instead of misopostrol that is a way less harmful?
Chronic gastritis is better. Very slight intestinal metaplasia observed. Removed myself from PPIs a month ago. Noticeable mucus with stools. Thoughts?
What's the reason why my constant abdominal pain relieve after I eat food? I have no ulcer and gastritis, my endoscopy is normal. The PPIs do not have any effect. Could this be bcoz of some nerve dysfunction, does the nerve calm if there is food?
