A member asked:

Is sucralfate only taken for ulcers or can it also be effective for gastritis when taken in addition to ppis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Although some clinicians see no use for it in nonulcerative conditions, sulcrafate may be useful in gastritis by its action which could prevent erosions of the stomach lining in cases of gastritis.
