Deficiency of iron can cause anemia and iron deficiency anemia is treated with iron. Iron will not increase one's blood pressure. Anemia is fairly common in pregnancy and there are blood tests to look into the cause.

Taking iron will not raise your blood pressure. You should take iron and multivitamins to treat anemia. For the sake of your and your baby's health, you should be under the care of a doctor who can monitor blood pressure and hemoglobin levels. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
