A member asked:

I just received my second dose of pfizer, but i am hearing vaccinated people are getting sick, just how protected am i???? i am starting to feel like it doesn't really help much at all.?

The last time I looked at the numbers a fully vaccinated person has 1/28000 risk of ICU level care or death. 95% of those hospitalized here are unvaccinated and those hospitalized have a milder course. We are all tired of Covid & I believe it will circle the globe for years. The vaccines are the best tool we have for now to get on with life. I am sad that so many fear vaccine more than covid .

Vaccines for other conditions have never been considered 100% protective in all, and the 95% COVID-19 number illustrates less than perfection. That does not imply impotency, but again, NOT perfect. Problem is an online campaign on Facebook, Twitter, etc., from offshore sources attacking USA vaccines. Do not believe any of this. You are protected: 1/28,000 to me is very impressive! Be positive
