I had midcycle bleed every other month for years before i had kids.they found a tiny polyp in 2017 but drs said the bleeding was most likely do to ovulation not polyp. after having both my kids (2018&2021) i had one episode and no more.sign of cancer?

Do not think an absence of bleeding would be a sign of cancer - what you are experiencing is called mittelschmerz, a common condition associated that can be associated with pain and or bleeding mid-cycle
