Colonoscopy scheduled due to gas/constipation. right side more gassy. with a twinge in btwn belly button and hip when i sit. terrified i may have hernia from straining and will get perforation during the procedure. should i get an ultrasound first?

While your worries are understandable, your gastroenterologist will be best to make a decision in case imaging studies may be needed prior to colonoscopy based on the initial exam and details of your history. He or she will have also access to previous studies available.
