If a person has stage 4 lung cancer would it be able to be seen on a chest x-ray. also can you have stage 4 and have no symptoms for over a year?

Only a lung mass or tumor/ sometimes lymph node enlargement will be seen in a chest x-ray. Staging is different and may include other imaging tests. Yes, some cancers may have no to limited symptoms for months to years even in advanced stages.
