Epiploic appendagitis is not treated with antibiotics, usually it requires only anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen. of course we are assuming this is the correct diagnosis as it can be easily differentiated from diverticulitis on a CT. It takes a few days to resolve. It can be present at the same time with diverticulitis which requires antibiotics. If pain is persistent reevaluation is needed.
