AIED: causes sensorineural hearing loss. In addition to complaints of hearing loss, nearly half of autoimmune sensorineural hearing loss patients report other vestibuloauditory symptoms including aural fullness, tinnitus, lightheadedness, and vertigo. There is no single diagnostic examination or laboratory study. History and physical with an audiogram and some lab studies can be very useful.
