Chronic pain in right flank. pain is 5/10 some days better than others. occasional nausea. gallbladder ultrasound normal, bloodwork for liver/kidneys normal. what else could it be?

Blood work for liver and kidney disorders do not rule out structural or functional disorders affecting above organs, ultrasound gallbladder will miss functional issues. Many times pain proves to be musculoskeletal and that is hard to diagnose many times as it may involve abdominal muscles. Keeping a log of the symptoms as they seem to be functional on pattern may help your doc further investigate.
