Stress & Liver: Yes, stress does affect your liver (and every other organ inside you). Stress increases inflammatory responses in the liver, which can possibly lead to fatty liver and other problems. Inflammatory cytokines can worsen chronic viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/pmc2702105/.
