That is possible: 800mg 3 times a day is given in healthy adults This is from a National Institutes of Health report: The appearance of clinically apparent liver injury during long-term or chronic ibuprofen therapy has not been convincingly demonstrated. However, instances of asymptomtic flares of chronic hepatitis C have been reported after initiation of ibuprofen therapy with rapidly resolving with stopping.
