A member asked:

I used to rinse after brushing my teeth, but recently i read that just spitting is better because it doesn't get rid of all the fluoride. is this correct? and if you swallow any trace amounts of toothpaste is that toxic?

Spitting is fine and preferable. No concerns regarding swallowing any remnant.

THE FLUORIDE IS BRUSHED INTO YOUR TEETH AT THE TIME OF BRUSHING MULTIPLE TIMES TRU MULTIPLE OPENINGS. RINSING GETS RID OF FOOD AND OTHER PARTICLES. TRACE AMOUNTS ARE NOT TOXIC IF SWALLOWED,BRUSH AND RINSE TO AVOID ANY WORRIES.
