Found out i had chlamydia when i was 37 weeks. took antibiotic and now i'm 39 weeks. should it be gone and effects on fetus in case of labor.

Yes and None: The chlamydia should be gone within a few days of treatment. If you do still have chlamydia it is not likely to affect your labor. Almost all babies are treated after delivery to prevent the most likely problem that chlamydia would cause, an infection in the eyes.

Gone: If you took the standard antibiotics for chlamydia your germ will be gone before baby is exposed.The intact bag of waters prevents the germ from transferring to baby prior to labor.It could pass if untreated and result in eye disease within the first few days or a dramatic pneumonia around 4-5 weeks. Be vigilant and enjoy your new baby.
