How do i know the difference between external hemorrhoids and anal herpes? i do not do anything sexual around my buttocks and i do rough bowel movements that result in bloody stool and a little burn when i shower?

It's difficult to differentiate with just those symptoms because you can have both. You can look at your anus and perianal area with a mirror and tell us what you see so we may be able to say what it is or you can google for the images of external hemorrhoid and herpes lesion and you can see the difference. Perianal herpes may occur without history of anal sex.
