Got my mri results back & trying to solve the puzzle on what it means. c5-6 diffuse disc bulging contracts & flattens the ventral surface of cord, c6-7 disc ossific complex contracts & flattens the ventral surface of the cord?

What symptoms ? Studies have shown individuals can have abnormalities without being symptomatic. The report above notes disc bulging that does push a bit on the cord but this does not automatically mean you need surgery it can be helped w/PT, traction and some disc bulging can also resolve somewhat on its own . Disc osteophyte complex indicates it has been there a while F/u/ w/ neurosurgery

I would need to see MRI but probably means nothing unless cord compression is significant.

As my colleagues intimate, the key issue is the extent of clinical pathology present, such as pain, numbness, weakness, bladder problems, etc. Discuss the results with both your doctor and the interpreting radiologist, and devise a plan to appropriate therapeutic intervention as might be needed.
