Can anxiety/stress cause a burning feeling in your chest?

Anxiety & stress can cause many different symptoms including types of chest pain like you describe, but it is hard to be sure it is that vs another cause (like acid reflux or some type of infection). You could try over the counter famotidine (acid blocker) to see if helps, as well as prayer & meditation. Definitely see Dr if nausea/vomiting/dizziness/fever/cough or breathing difficulty.

Anxiety and stress can cause types of chest discomfort, usually more at rest than with physical activity. However a burning feeling isn't as common as a pressure or tightness. Do you feel that you experience heartburn or reflux? If so, eliminate triggers. If you're experiencing chronic anxiety&stress you could be helped by stress management therapy. . Discuss this with your physician.
