An HCG level of "over 5 K" is a definite positive, but can be produced by an ectopic pregnancy as well. If a pelvic sonogram does not show an intrauterine "yolk sac" at "5 weeks of pregnancy", your physician may be concerned about a non-uterine origin of the pregnancy. Prior ectopic pregnancy increases the chance of a repeat.
