Creatine can provide a transient boost to your performance during a workout. It flushes out of your system over a period of hours and provide little long term benefit. Use it if you wish. I find it an expensive transient crutch. If you feel it helps you through your workouts, do as you wish. If you want to use it, take it half an hour before workouts for best (transient) effect.

Creatine will lighten your wallet but not provide any other benefit that you could not get from a balanced diet. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
