I have neck crepitus from a injury when i was 14. i prefer not to say how it happened.its got worse over the last few years.i did physical therapy and let it heal for 8 wks but its still the same.just went and got a xray and they said the xray was ok?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a rehabilitation specialist/psychiatrist. Regular exercise would be helpful. Wish you good health!

There are several joints and intervertebral discs in the neck. Normal aging, wear and tear, or even trauma can cause these structure to wear out over time and develop arthritis. The crepitus is likely coming from your neck joints (facet joints). It's probably time to get an MRI of your neck and a referral to a spine specialist to discuss further treatment options.
