When you have a lot of anxiety it makes you more likely to have a panic attack. Panic attacks can mimic the signs of a heart attack but they are very treatable. Please have a physical exam to know if you have a physical problem. Please consult with a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy for help with coping. Medication can be helpful prescribed by a Psychiatrist.

You can see your doc to rule out medical conditions and get a mild anti anxiety agent but the long term fix is likely a clinical psychologist. Since you don’t otherwise have a history of panic your prognosis is good. If the flight were not so close it might even have been an issue. All panic attacks are self limiting. Peace and good health.
