Panic attacks: First of all, no worries, panic does not kill people. Advise you to schedule appointment with psychiatrist to evaluate, rule out organic causes by ordering lab workup, get you on medicine to relieve symptoms, and refer you to counselor to help you find reasons why you had those attacks so you can block them and cope.

Agoraphobia: Driving anxiety is really a form of agoraphobia, which is essentially the fear of experiencing a panic attack while in a setting that would be difficult to escape. Many people with driving anxiety have suffered a traumatic experience while driving, such as being involved in a car accident. For others, the relationship may not be apparent (the reason being abstract or symbolic of something else).
