A ct scan showed a solitary thyroid nodule and a solitary nodule in my upper lung. are these often related?

Could be: There is a possibility of secondaries from thyroid carcionima to to deposited in the lungs. But will have to check with a physician to see if the symptoms match and also need to possibly biopsy the nodes and the nodule.
