What does this mean please?? there is a groundglass opacity seen within left upper lobe of lung. reffered for another ct of chest in 3months. should i be worried? the ct was for a thyroid nodule?

Ground glass opacity means there is some inflammation in that area but it is a very non-specific finding. There are many things that can cause this so if you are not having any respiratory symptoms like shortness of breath, cough, etc., then repeating in 3 months is helpful. This can get better on its own but, if it doesn’t, see a lung doctor.
